The plan can be as simple or elaborate as you want. A simple one may cover the scale, format and venue of the service, requirements for the coffin and other funeral-related products, the interment arrangements and any other end-of-life preferences (such as organ donation). For a more thorough plan, you can design the theme, choose the music and the photos, indicate your preferences for the life celebration or memorial service, appoint a person to be in charge of your sendoff and include messages or any wishes you may have for your loved ones.
You can also fill out a pre-planning card using a template provided by Forget Thee Not. But most importantly, you must inform a close friend or relative of your advance arrangements and where the information can be found.
